Ian is perhaps best known for his balloons.
He met World Champion Michael Decker in 1997 and was inspired by him to start making balloons.
Ian has met many of the top balloon modellers in the world who meet each year in Mols, Belgium. If you have admired Ian’s balloon hats you will not be surprised to hear that he learned many of these from Adi Somekh co-author of the Inflatable Crown. Adi has toured the world making balloon hats for whoever he meets.
If you’ve ever seen Ian’s balloons made using weaving techniques you’ll know there is nothing that cannot be made with balloons. Ian learned weaving from David Grist and Asif Karim, two of the best.
